A Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design (ESMAD) do Instituto Politécnico do Porto (P. PORTO) lança o Prémio John Goto ESMAD, P. PORTO, em homenagem ao artista fotógrafo John Goto, cujo trabalho inovador contribuiu para a reformulação da fotografia como meio de comentário social e crítica cultural. O concurso Prémio John Goto – ESMAD, P. PORTO encontra-se aberto à participação de estudantes do ensino superior nas artes visuais (fotografia, vídeo, cinema, artes digitais, multimédia, design, artes plásticas), de qualquer nacionalidade, individuais ou em grupo. O período das candidaturas ao Prémio John Goto – ESMAD, P. PORTO decorre de 6 de junho até 16 de agosto de 2024.

The School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD) at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P. PORTO) has launched the John Goto Prize ESMAD, P.PORTO in honor of the innovative photographer and artist John Goto. His groundbreaking work has contributed to reshaping photography as a means of social commentary and cultural critique. The John Goto Prize ESMAD, P. PORTO competition is open to higher education students in visual arts (photography, video, cinema, digital arts, multimedia, design, fine arts) of any na-tionality, either individually or in groups. The application period for the John Goto Prize ESMAD, P. PORTO runs from June 6th to August 16th, 2024.
